Biennal de Pensament

Barcelona hosts a new edition of the Biennal de Pensament from October 13 to 18 under the theme 'Desencadenar el present'. It is a cultural reflection proposal linked to the view on contemporary cities. How can we foster solidarity to face the exclusions created by neoliberalism? Could cities become a stronghold of resistance to democracy against authoritarianism? In what way can the material and symbolic conditions of citizens' lives be improved? Some prominent voices from current thought, creation, and activism ask these questions: among the guests of this edition are the writer Mariana Enríquez, the filmmaker José Luis Guerin, or the former footballer and activist Liliam Thuran. Consult all the details of the programme on the website of the Ajuntament de Barcelona.
