Concert de Ferrández, González-Monjas i Musikkollegium Winterthur

Cellist Pablo Ferrández will perform Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto (1918), considered the most important work in the repertoire of this instrument, composed in the 20th century. He will be accompanied by the Musikkollegium Winterthur, under the direction of Roberto González-Monjas, also music director of the Sinfónica de Galicia and principal conductor of the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg. The programme also includes the Spanish premiere of Caprice à l'espagnole by Richard Dubugnon, and Symphony No. 5 "La Reforma" by Felix Mendelssohn, written to celebrate the religious reforms in Germany in the 16th century.
