As part of the 150th anniversary of Ricard Viñes' birth, the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdencs organizes "Ricard Viñes al territori", a project to disseminate the life and work of this illustrious pianist, with the aim of bringing his legacy to all corners of the Lleida territory, especially to less populated municipalities, in collaboration with town councils, cultural entities, and university extension classrooms. Curated by Màrius Bernadó, the project seeks to commemorate Viñes' figure and reinforce the cultural pride of the territory, connecting his trajectory with the values of Lleida and Catalan identity. The objective of this initiative is to spread knowledge about Ricard Viñes as a key figure of Catalan and international music, highlighting his link with Lleida, as well as to promote territorial cohesion, institutional collaboration, and heritage conservation. The initiative will bring conferences and concert-conferences to various municipalities in the Lleida district, with the intention of democratizing access to culture and highlighting the importance of figures like Viñes, who can inspire new generations and strengthen the sense of belonging to the territory.
