Vegetable fibres, ropes and knots, of vital importance for the survival of our species, have been crucial not only in the development of textile arts (basketry, weaving), but also in architecture, engineering, navigation and recording and writing systems. Dialogue on the creative and research bond between Bignia Kuoni (1936-1991), and Aurèlia Muñoz (1926-2011). A tribute to the work and connections of these two researchers and friends, pioneers in the study of basketry and textile fibres, as a prior activity to the opening of the exhibition Bignia Kuoni. Traditional Iberian basketry. The opening of the exhibition, curated by Mònica Gili, is scheduled for November 14, at 12 h. The exhibition will be open to visit at the museum from November 14, 2026 to October 17, 2027. This activity is framed within the commemoration of the Aurèlia Muñoz Year.
