Bartók draws on rural songs to build a bold writing style, Piazzolla reinvents the tango, and Gershwin blends blues and the classical repertoire. Pianist Émilie Carcy and flutist Marion Candy embody this dialogue with finesse and complicity. Between dance rhythms, popular melodies, and learned forms, the music reveals all its vitality.
