El retrat de Dorian Gray

Àngels Gonyalons embodies Oscar Wilde to challenge a world still obsessed with youth and image. Àngels Gonyalons takes on the role of Oscar Wilde to defend The Picture of Dorian Gray against the attacks of contemporary criticism, and through her voice we see all the characters of the controversial novel. She is Dorian, the young man who feels envy of the beauty of his own portrait and makes a pact with the devil to preserve youth eternally. She is Basil Hayward, the painter of the controversial portrait. She is Sybil Vane, the young actress whom Dorian falls in love with. But, above all, she is Lord Henry, the depraved dandy who accompanies Dorian in his descent into hell while his portrait transforms monstrously. The cult of youth and narcissistic individualism, which are at the heart of the piece, resonate today in a world like ours, governed by aesthetics and obsessed with the latest novelty.
