For over a thousand years, this building served as the residence of the Bishop of Girona and his curia, and hosted kings and nobles during their visits to the city: from Pere el Cerimoniós to Ferran el Catòlic or Charles V. Currently, the Palace retains unique spaces that testify to its rich past, such as an old prison with inscriptions carved by its inmates on the walls.
