Exposició "A recer del Park Güell"

The exhibition is conceived as an opportunity to delve into the multiple layers of meaning of Park Güell, exploring its most intimate, imaginative, and hidden dimensions. Through three thematic sections, the project seeks to reveal what often remains hidden from public view: personal experience, collective projection, and the park's subterranean reality. The first section, "Les mirades recollides: Entre la multitud i la intimitat", presents photographs capturing inadvertent moments of the park, experienced from calm and personal connection. The images, from a photo hackathon, reveal a private and introspective view of Park Güell, an experience not built to be displayed but emerging between the individual and the space. This section highlights the park's intimate dimension, that which is often eclipsed by its status as a tourist icon. The second section, "Prospectives: El futur del Park Güell en l'inconscient col·lectiu", invites experts, managers, and agents involved in the park's management and custody to write imaginary postcards projecting how Park Güell will be in 2125. From close knowledge and affection, these postcards aim to share future visions of the park with all audiences, revealing not only what is desired but also what has not yet been formulated. This section proposes an exercise of collective projection that navigates between dream, memory, and anticipation. The third section, "Tresors preservats: El Park Güell arrecerat i subterrani", explores the park's most reserved and physical dimension: its subterranean structures, hidden geologies, reservoirs, mines, caves, roots, and hidden spaces. This invisible universe, inaccessible to the regular visitor, connects the past with the future and highlights a living heritage that remains discreetly active beneath the surface. It is here where history is preserved and projected silently. As a whole, the exhibition proposes a new view of Park Güell, shifting the focus from the monument to the living space, changing the spectacle for the experience, and tourism for complicity. This event is framed within the commemoration of Gaudí Year.
