Exposició "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia"

The desire to fly has always been one of humanity's aspirations. From Icarus in Greek mythology to Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine, progress reached the Montgolfier hot air balloons and the first flight in Barcelona in 1910. The exhibition "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia" aims to show the journey that the conquest of the urban sky has taken in our city, from the first balloon that took photographs in 1888 to the consolidation of the technique of aerial photogrammetry, while also showing the evolution of the fields where this new means of transport was developed. "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia" is an invitation to discover the relationship between the city and its citizens with the sky. You can consult more information about the exhibition "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia" on the website of the Arxiu Fotgràfics de Barcelona.
