Exposició "KEIKO_pràctiqueS"

The new gallery presents 35 works by artist Begonya Hernàndez Ferrer, resulting from a long practice of sumi-e, traditional Japanese painting, and a working method based on concentration, gesture, and observation of nature. Mamatua is born as a small, close gallery that aims to advocate for a slower way of looking at art. The project focuses on works that convey sensitivity and beauty without artifice, inviting the viewer to stop before what they see. At Mamatua, simple, imperfect, and true beauty is valued: a beauty that does not need artifice, born from matter, from the hand, and from a natural way of doing things. It may appear in a slightly trembling line, in a brushstroke, in the texture of paper, or in a simple shape made by hand.
