The Vic seat of the College of Architects of Catalonia will host, from September 29 to October 16, the exhibition by architect and photographer Josep Xoy Soler, which explores the relationship between fire, architecture, and ways of life in the central comarques. The show is the fourth and final exhibition of the MIRADES cycle, an initiative of the COAC that, over four years, has explored the relationship between architecture, territory, and photography through the four elements of nature: water, earth, air, and fire. The exhibition proposes a visual journey of the role that fire has played throughout history in the configuration of the spaces we inhabit and work in, ranging from the domestic sphere to artisanal and industrial production. The photographs make evident how this element has conditioned ways of life, productive systems, and the architecture of the territory.
