Exposició "Tèrbol. Territori i visions submarines"

"Tèrbol. Territori i visions submarines", by Jonàs Forchini starts from a real case: the submerged remains of the Buda lighthouse, progressively swallowed by coastal erosion and today turned into a silent relic under the sea. Through photography, the visual artist Jonàs Forchini (Girona, 1992) explores this element as a contemporary ruin and puts it in dialogue with underwater archaeology and the work of the Centre d'Arqueologia Subaquàtica de Catalunya. The exhibition invites us to delve into a landscape marked by murkiness, lack of light, and environmental instability, where seeing becomes always a partial and uncertain exercise. Far from any idealization of the seabed, Forchini's work proposes a reflection on the fragility of the references that have historically oriented societies —such as the lighthouse was— and on the way we adapt to a territory and a world in constant transformation.
