It is difficult to understand the trajectory of Frederic Amat (Barcelona, 1952) without considering the role that a good number of poets, writers, playwrights and philosophers have had in his development, with whom the artist has dialogued from the seventies to the present. "Vuit" is an exhibition that brings together some of these "conversations" around words, images, strokes and questions. From the unreleased short film titled Al filo (2026), conceived specifically for La Virreina with Chantal Maillard, to collaborations with Mark Strand, J. V. Foix, Octavio Paz and Guillermo Cabrera Infante, among others. Paraphrasing Peter Sloterdijk, Vuit reminds us to what extent artistic creation is a long letter with multiple senders. You can consult more information about the exhibition "Vuit" on the La Virreina website.
