FiraTàrrega - Teatre al carrer. Edició especial

FiraTàrrega is the international market for performing arts, offering unique theatrical experiences, making a firm commitment to excellence and the richness of formats and scripts, with street arts and non-conventional spaces as its main reference axis. It also serves as a major showcase for current stage events, including hall shows, with special attention to street arts, visual and non-conventional shows, the presentation of emerging talents, and national and international creative avant-gardes. This year, however, and due to the Covid19 pandemic, FiraTàrrega changes its usual format, which is postponed to 2021 (from September 9 to 12), and redefines its activity in a special edition adapted to the consequences of the pandemic: The Board of Directors has opted for a special format of the edition that implies a transformation of the activity and has three action axes: Support for Creation. Deployment and monitoring throughout 2020 and 2021 of the co-production package to accompany 18 stage creation projects that will receive the economic and strategic support of Fira and a forty partner venues, festivals and town halls distributed across national geography. When deconfinement conditions allow it (autumn 2020), the feasibility of setting residency dates and an open rehearsal schedule for the public will be studied. Online Llotja. Execution, on September 9 and 10, 2020, of an international digital event for performing arts professionals, which will include, prior to accreditation, a package of talks, presentations, speed meetings and interpersonal communication systems, through the use of Fira's professional webapp, videoconferencing tools and chat. FiraTàrrega Circuit. Organisation, management and funding of a street arts exhibition circuit, under the FiraTàrrega seal, to be executed during the first three quarters of 2021. A significant part of the artistic content that will nourish this circuit will come from the shows attached to the Support for Creation programme and will be complemented with other shows proposed by the artistic direction. From here on, the FiraTàrrega organisational team gets to work on concretising all these activities for the implementation of a special edition without in-person artistic activity in the city of Tàrrega and which transfers to 2021, along with the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the event that was planned for this year. NOTES OF THE CULTURAL AGENDA The start and end dates of this article are not relevant. Information about the space and geolocation on the map is merely indicative, as the activity is not in-person.
