Frame Film Festival 2026

The FRAME Film Festival is in the final stretch of its fifth edition after months touring various municipalities in the Tarragona province with the aim of bringing short films to the region. The itinerant event began in March and will run until November, with screenings distributed across fifteen participating venues, including Ampolla, Riudoms, Castellvell del Camp, la Canonja, el Catllar, Montbrió del Camp, and Sant Jaume d'Enveja. Unlike conventional festivals, FRAME operates in two phases. During the first phase, the public of each municipality selects the winning short film through voting from the twenty works selected for each session. The most voted productions advance directly to the final phase and compete for the FRAME Talento Awards, to be presented at a gala scheduled for January 2027. The initiative seeks to give visibility to short film creators and expand the cultural offer in towns that typically do not have a stable short film programming schedule. The organization also advocates for a festival model that focuses on closeness to filmmakers and active public participation in the selection process. With several sessions already held and others still pending until November, the FRAME Film Festival continues to consolidate itself as one of the most widely established short film proposals in the province of Tarragona.
