Franco Fagioli & Gabetta Consort

Franco Fagioli lends his voice to the service of Farinelli, the most celebrated castrato of baroque opera. Considered one of the best-equipped countertenors of the present day, Fagioli possesses a privileged instrument, extraordinary vocal energy and power, and a unique stage presence. Qualities especially suited to reviving the repertoire associated with a figure who triumphed in European courts and has ended up becoming a legend. Works by Vivaldi, Hasse, Geminiani, Porpora, Sellitto and Locatelli allow recreating that universe of vocal virtuosity and baroque splendour. Fagioli will be accompanied by the Gabetta Consort, a formation specialised in historicist interpretation, with Andrés Gabetta on the violin and conducting.
