In pure cabaret tradition, the great magician Kosmao steps forward to the audience with his assistant Goupil. The tricks follow one another, precise and elegant, until the mechanism goes out of order. Goupil is not in his element; he turns out to be a rebellious assistant. It must be said that he was once a fox before taking up this profession! The magic then shifts to a live-action animated film universe, where objects rebel and images metamorphose before our eyes. Without a word, Étienne Saglio unfolds a visual fable full of humour and poetry, paying homage to Tex Avery as much as to the Pixar studios.
