Heroica

Clara-Jumi Kang returns to our season with the sensitivity and virtuosity that have made her one of the great violinists of today. She will perform The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams, a page of unprecedented lyrical beauty, in which the violin becomes a free and poetic voice. The programme will open with Leonora Overture no. 3 and conclude with Beethoven's Symphony no. 3 "Heroic", a foundational work of modern symphonism. All under the passionate direction of distinguished conductor Sunwook Kim, who makes his debut with our orchestra.
