Maria takes a pistol from the family kitchen and walks toward the house of the man who raped her. Behind her, an entire village begins to stir. La Sœur de Jésus-Christ represents this journey as a long theatrical tracking shot, where each character delivers their version of the story. Oscar de Summa writes a tense and poetic text, where tension rises inexorably. The stage design, tight and with no escape, accompanies this raw speech, supported by live music. As for the narrative itself, it is carried by the striking performance of actor Félix Vannoorenberghe, who manages to transform the intimate drama into collective awareness.
