Victoria Szpunberg is an artist of great sensitivity who, accompanied by Albert Pijuan, makes her debut at the Sala Gran del TNC. She presents La tercera fuga, a fictional text based on real events from her family history. Clara Segura leads the cast of this epic story spanning three generations and various continents. La tercera fuga is a narrative about the journey of a family forced into exile for sociopolitical reasons with the aim of trying to survive with freedom. La tercera fuga is a story of escapes and exiles, of survival and overcoming, of hate and love, drama and humor. To flee to save oneself, to survive. With a cast where no one stands out above anyone, although we find great names from the Catalan stage such as the actress Clara Segura. As Miquel Cabal Guarro says in the prologue of the book La tercera fuga, "all of us who wander the world are heirs of a series of escapes that have taken place in other lives, in other times, in other places, for reasons we do not know and that it is unlikely we can know". La tercera fuga is a choral work with thirteen actors on stage. It is divided into three acts. The first act begins in the nineteen twenties with the escape of a Ukrainian family to Berdítxiv, the second is the second escape during the nineteen seventies in Buenos Aires and the third act is the third escape in the year 2022 in Barcelona. Throughout the work we will see them flee, start all over again, adapt, survive, age, laugh and celebrate life. I must admit that I liked it very much, that it did not seem long to me and that all the actors do it brilliantly, but not to the point of considering it the best work of the season.
