“L’Espera”

Opening hours: Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The artist Urgell Funollet will present the result of the work carried out this August in Olot, within the framework of the first artistic residency of Espai Rusca. His project, "L'espera", is set in the era of the Civil War and Francoist repression and reflects on the waiting of those who did not return, the words that were not said, and the griefs that remained open after the war. This first residency is born from the will to keep alive the flame of creativity and cultural dynamization that Xavier Ruscalleda meant for the city of Olot, and to activate Espai Rusca as a place for creation, meeting, and coexistence. The initiative counts on the collaboration of the Olot Town Council, which makes the artist's stay possible and bets on a residency rooted in the neighbourhood, in contact with its community and its surroundings.
