Pere Arquillué: Coral romput

Carles Coronado and Pere Arquillué gift us one of the most emblematic pieces by Vicent Andrés Estellés. The great poem: Coral romput, where the poet, marked by the death of his daughter, reviews his existence and the meaning of his work. A tribute to Estellés but also to the great work of Ovidi Montllor who together with Toti Soler made this poem even greater. Now, Pere Arquillué offers us this masterclass in recitation with the words of the great Valencian poet under the protection of this musical marvel that Toti Soler composed, this time interpreted by Carles Coronado. What sensitivity in saying this text! I liked the text of Estallés very much. How the text evolved and quoted itself. How within an apparent everydayness it explained touching, beautiful, tragic things… But with great beauty and referring to the impulse to write and create. I did not know the poem (and therefore the Ovidi/Toti version) but today the interpretation and the immersion on stage by Pere and Carles made me enjoy and be moved equally. Bravo.
