The heartbeat of life. The vertigo of disappearing. A lesbian woman who has committed suicide embarks on an inner journey in which she challenges her family, romantic love, and even her own idea of survival. Through reading and sex, she seeks tables of salvation to face an existence marked by lucidity, fear, and the desire for freedom. Her voice, poetic and painful, aims to break the symbolic permafrost that keeps her away from life. Arriving at the Kursaal, this theatrical adaptation of Permagel is directed by Victoria Szpunberg, starring actress Maria Rodríguez Soto, and based on the novel by Eva Baltasar. Published in 2018, it became a literary phenomenon, thanks to its direct voice and full of black humour, capable of addressing taboo themes such as lesbian desire, masturbation, suicide, and motherhood with intelligence. This show uses strobe lights and smoke effects. The performance can be followed with subtitles projected on a screen, as well as through audio description via a system of receivers, and also magnetic loop and sound amplification.
