The Quartet Nonell will perform a selection of counterpoints from Johann Sebastian Bach's L'Art de la Fuga at the Nau Central Seu Vella in Lleida; the quartet, op. 33 no. 2, "La broma", by Joseph Haydn; and the String Quartet no. 3 by Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, the composer whose bicentenary of death is being commemorated. A programme that puts three great composers into dialogue, exploring ingenuity, counterpoint and complicity between the four voices of the string quartet. The concert is included in the activities organised by Els Amics de la Seu Vella, an entity that promotes and supports the cultural and musical dissemination of this heritage space.
