Un museu fora del museu

The exhibition "Un museu fora del museu" proposes bringing contemporary art works from the Collection and Archive of the MACBA to everyday spaces and social meeting points throughout Catalonia to generate new forms of encounter with art. The waiting room of a dentist, a pastry shop, the changing rooms of a football field, a mortuary, or bus stops are some of the spaces hosting this project driven by the Department of Culture, in collaboration with the visual arts centres of Catalonia and the MACBA. The project aims to offer proximity experiences with the public, outside the usual context of exhibiting works, and to deploy contemporary art throughout the country. A project curated by Martí Manen.
