Visita musicada al monestir de Pedralbes

Music has always held great relevance within the community of Clarissas at the Monastery of Pedralbes, to the extent that the degree of the sisters varied according to their singing ability: a distinction was established between the choir sisters and the lay sisters. On the occasion of the seven-hundredth anniversary of the foundation of the Monastery of Pedralbes, the Chamber Choir of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, under the direction of Poire Vallvé, offers a journey in which music becomes the soundscape of a visit in which the monastery will be explained as a female space of daily life, a centre of power and a place of connection between the earthly and the divine through the nature present in the cloister. This activity is framed within the commemoration of the Monastery of Pedralbes Year.
