A father, who raises his son almost alone, recounts and relives his upbringing story. At a moment in adolescence, without prior warning—as is common—the son begins to display homophobic, aggressive, and problematic attitudes regarding the values he has lived and received at home. How far should these objections—typical of age—be allowed within his home, when they offend themselves and their surroundings? How long should one endure and take responsibility as a guardian for someone who proposes ideas and defends values that seem deplorable and contrary to their principles?
