Members of the Joan Vinyoli Library Poetry Club will discuss the poetry collection Més que mots with its author, Iolanda Bonet. Més que mots, by writer Iolanda Bonet and illustrated by Marc Roig, is presented as the first book in Catalan of poems written from monosyllables, comprising 51 poetic compositions grouped into various themes (animals, plants, numbers...). The work was awarded the Baladre Prize 2013. "Més que mots is a book that was born playing with words", explains Iolanda Bonet. "The title claims the importance and beauty of small things. (...) The smallest words (...) are capable of building an entire book of verses like Més que mots, the first in Catalan. Or a very long poem, as poet Pere Quart did", explains the author, who follows in the footsteps of the author of the renowned «Tirallonga de monosíl·labs». Pre-registration required.
