Descobreix la Banda!

Discover how the Barcelona Municipal Band rehearses! The Barcelona Municipal Band (BMB) opens its rehearsal doors so that both adults and children can enjoy a unique auditory experience. Rehearsals with the Band offers the opportunity to discover, live and as a family, how this professional ensemble, mainly composed of a fifty-piece wind and percussion instruments, prepares before the main concert. An immersive proposal to know the history of this centenary band and observe up close how, through the constant dialogue between conductor and performers, the repertoire is shaped: tuning instruments, adjusting the tempo, modulating the dynamics of the sections and polishing the sound expression until achieving the desired precision and emotion. The activity includes an introduction by a musical communicator from L'Auditori (25 minutes), attendance at the rehearsal (60 minutes) and a final space to resolve doubts (15 minutes). We recommend complementing the activity with a visit to the Music Museum, with prior reservation. Below we detail the BMB programmes corresponding to the rehearsals that we have open: 17/10/26 – Rhapsody in Blue – Dir. José R. Pascual-Vilaplana 21/11/26 – Suite Gran Canyon – Dir.
