Exposició "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia"

The desire to fly has always been one of humanity's aspirations. From Icarus in Greek mythology to Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine, progress reached the Montgolfier hot air balloons and the first flight in Barcelona in 1910. The exhibition "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia" aims to show the journey of urban sky conquest in our city, from the first balloon that took photographs in 1888 to the consolidation of aerial photogrammetry, while also displaying the evolution of the fields where this new transport medium developed. "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia" is an invitation to discover the relationship between the city and its citizens with the sky. You can consult more information about the exhibition "Barcelona i el cel: globus, aeroplans i fotografia" on the website of the Arxiu Fotgràfics de Barcelona.
