Exposició "Cinema i memòria democràtica"

The exhibition offers a chronological journey through the history of the Francoist Dictatorship and antifranquism through film posters of emblematic movies about the Civil War, the postwar, repression, the maquis, and the struggle for democratic freedoms. This selection allows approaching the main episodes and protagonists of this historical period. Meanwhile, the value of the film poster as a promotional and artistic expression tool is highlighted, which, throughout the 20th century, became an essential element of cinema's visual communication. The show claims this graphic and cultural heritage, practically disappeared with the arrival of the 21st century. Complementary activities: October 5, 19h.
