Exposició "Viatge en el temps per les Drassanes Reials de Barcelona"

Within the framework of this event, the Maritime Museum presents this exhibition to recall the origin and history of one of the city's most emblematic buildings. The Royal Shipyards are internationally recognized for their monumentality and good state of conservation, and in 1976 were declared National Historical-Artistic Monument. Their origin dates back to the 13th century, during the reign of Pere el Gran. In the successive centuries they were expanded and modified until reaching the appearance we know today. The exhibition takes a tour through the different moments and uses of this complex, considered as the largest and most complete medieval shipyards preserved in the world, and a unique example of civil Gothic architecture.
