Clementina Arderiu (Barcelona, 1889-1976) was a prominent Catalan poet. Born into a family of silversmiths, she decided not to continue the family trade and devote herself fully to art. Married to the poet Carles Riba –a very influential figure at the time–, for a long time it was interpreted that Arderiu's poetry only expressed the happiness of being a woman, wife and mother, but that is not the case. "Two lives are in me" is a recital where we will hear a selection of the most representative poems by Arderiu, with the poet Maria Sevilla. Poems that exude the tension between a different poetic self, and the archetypal female model. An event included in the programming of the Arderiu Year. The recital will also include poems by authors, equally marked by the claustrophobia of the home, such as Emily Dickinson, Charlotte Brontë, Anne Sexton or Maria-Mercè Marçal.
