In a reality where noise often takes center stage, the sound of a solo cello invites us to a necessary space of introspection, turning music into a cocoon of silence. The program for this concert revolves around two of Bach's famous suites: the number 2 in D minor and the number 5 in C minor. The Catalan-Swiss cellist Ariadna Chmelik, recognized for her talent and member of the Quartet Atenea, will complete the repertoire with the Seven Haikus for solo cello by composer Josep Maria Guix. Through these works, the aim is to embrace the timelessness of the human impulse to approach the immensity, offering a highly spiritual concert that connects the baroque with contemporary music.
