The Municipal Conservatory of Music of Manresa inaugurates the new season with an exceptional concert by the Quartet Atenea, one of the most promising emerging string ensembles of the present. Founded in 2019 in Barcelona and currently based in Basel, the group has performed on prestigious stages such as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Philharmonie in Paris, or the Palau de la Música Catalana. In this evening at the Auditori, the quartet formed by former students Gil Sisquella and Bernat Santacana, together with Raul Campos and Ariadna Chmelik, will perform a repertoire spanning from the 17th to the 19th century, featuring works by Purcell, Mozart, and Shostakovich. A unique opportunity to enjoy an ensemble that seeks to deepen the connections between music from different eras.
