Artist Sandra Monfort (ex Marala) pays tribute to the Valencian town with a large-scale show depicting Valencian folklore and popular culture from a respectful, sweet, and contemporary perspective. Music, performance, and live dance are the channels through which she explores the nuances that define the town and Valencian traditions. THE ALACANT ARTIST PROPOSES A JOURNEY THROUGH VALENCIAN FOLKLORE AND POPULAR CULTURE. The show traces a symbolic route through Valencian popular songs: malaguenyas, batre songs, the dance of La Moma, the muixeranga of Algemesí, the vetlatori dance, the Mystery of Elx, dolçaina and tabal notes, fandangos, albaes... collecting the cultural footprints that tradition has left and representing them in four acts that build an emotional journey that values and cherishes this culture. The show is funded by the Diputació de València with the collaboration of the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC). Tickets on sale from Friday, June 5.
