L'Esbart de Mollet del Vallès and the Burgos-based artist and performer Lara Brown, specialised in dance and live arts, with music by Terrae, propose a scenic journey to explore the path that dance and the songs of en Jan Petit have taken over time. Investigating movement as a narrative tool, the route will go from its tragic origins to the light and playful version we know today. The aim is to explore all layers: from the cheerful and carefree dance of the children, through the more energetic versions of the youth to show agility, to the more symbolic and erotic interpretations. Thus, the audience will begin this journey with a smile to end up immersing themselves in a tense, almost claustrophobic atmosphere.
