The Iberian settlement of Turó Rodó is located on a 40 m high promontory situated in the north-east and very close to the Lloret de Mar town centre. It overlooks the sea directly in a place of easy defence and with a wide visual range over the Lloret beach. Between 2000-2003, it was excavated. These works allowed documenting the main characteristics of the settlement and its historical evolution, which extends from the end of the 3rd century B.C. to the first decades of the 1st century B.C. It is a coastal settlement of the barrier type, located on a protruding spur, facing the cliff for most of its perimeter and defended by a wall in the north and east, the only accessible sectors. The main dwellings, a total of 7 preserved, of this settlement are built against the inner part of the wall (between 110 and 130 cm. wide) and remain open to the south to a square, on the other side of which we find some constructions of lesser scope.
