MOVEDBYMATTER

'Mystica' is a captivating fusion of circus and polyphony in a ritual inspired by the 12th-century writer and composer Hildegard of Bingen and her companions. The multidisciplinary company from Flanders reinterprets their writings to bring them to the present as flesh-and-blood women. On stage, artists performing capillary suspension sing polyphonic chants together with members of a choir, forming a community that learns to speak a shared language, creating a spiritual microcosmos where everything and everyone is interconnected.
